Recently, the Market Supervision and Administration Bureau organized the quality and safety risk monitoring of swivel chair products. It was found that the formaldehyde emission of swivel chair products, seat impact and other items were at high risk, and long-term exposure to the above items that did not meet the requirements could easily lead to chronic respiratory diseases, bursting of stamping rods and other health and safety problems.
To this end, the Market Supervision and Administration Bureau reminded consumers that they should pay attention to the following points when purchasing and using swivel chair products:
1、 When purchasing through formal channels, you should actively ask for invoices and shopping vouchers, and properly keep them as proof of rights protection.
2、 When purchasing the office chair, carefully check the product manual, certificate of conformity, quality inspection report and other documents. Check whether the enterprise information in the manual is complete, and whether the main parameters, executive standards, sample grade, precautions, maintenance and other information of the product are complete and accurate; Check whether the formaldehyde emission, TVOC, seat impact, castor durability, safety and other major items in the quality inspection report meet the standards.
3、 Check whether the fabric, cylinder, chassis, casters and other main components have texture, whether the materials are normal, and whether the workmanship is meticulous; Whether the seat surface and backrest smell irritating or unpleasant; Whether the material used for the pipe wall of the pneumatic rod is thick and whether the seal is tight; Ask or check the instructions and other documents to know whether the purity of nitrogen filled in the cylinder meets more than 90%.
Sit on the swivel chair and check whether the waist, neck and legs are ergonomic; Whether the pneumatic rod is lifted smoothly, stably, without abnormal sound and locked freely; Whether the caster rotates smoothly, flexibly and with low noise; Whether the regulating mechanism and chassis are stable, reliable and easy to operate.
